The Grateful Garden Project invites children to discover the magic of growing vegetables through hands-on activities and instruction. Gardeners interact with nature, learn how food is grown, and watch their plants grow from seed. Sessions take place at our greenhouse throughout the growing season.
The garden group sparks children’s curiosity, builds responsibility, and fosters environmental awareness. This program is perfect for elementary school children!
Each gardener will receive:
- A full color garden guide filled with helpful information, activities, and space to journal about your plants.
- Topics include, but are not limited to: the life cycle of a seed, the life cycle of a plant, cool- and warm-weather vegetable plants, pollinators, beneficial plants, how to sow seeds, how to pot up and transplant seedlings, and using recycled items in the garden.
